The Feminine Pod is a menstrual cup, a great hygienic alternative to tampons and pads. It is made from 100% medical grade silicone and is safe for long term use. It is the healthier and more sustainable option.
The Feminine Pod can last up to 10 years if cared for correctly. Unlike other menstrual products, The Feminine Pod does not absorb fluids that are secreted during the menstrual cycle. It simply catches the fluid during your cycle by creating a suction between the vaginal walls and sits under the uterus until it is needed to be emptied.
How To Insert The Feminine Pod
1. Sterilization
Boil the feminine pod in an open pot of water for 5 minutes. Make sure that there is sufficient water in the pot. To prevent the feminine pod from burning, never leave pot unattended.

2. Fold
The easiest fold for inserting the feminine pod is the “punch down fold. Place a finger on the top rim of the cup and press it down into the center of the inside base to form a triangle. This makes the top rim much smaller for inserting.
3. Hold
Hold the feminine pod with your thumb and index finger to secure the fold. Make sure that the rim is facing upwards and the stem is pointing downwards.
4. Insert
In a comfortable position(squat or one foot on the toilet) relax the vaginal muscles and insert the feminine pod in a horizontal angle into the vaginal opening.
5. Seal and rotate
To avoid leaking, grip the base of the cup (not the stem) with the index finger and thumb. Rotate the feminine pod 360’ , this ensures that the feminine pod is fully open.
6. Removal
Locate the stem of the feminine pod pull down until you are able to grip the base. Pinch the base to release the seal and continue to pull down to remove it. Empty the contents to wash with warm water and the feminine wash or a mild unscented water based (oil-free) soap, and reinsert.
7.Storage
Store the feminine pod in a safe place, in the bag provided.
