Why should you use ArthroChoice™?

ArthroChoice™ is a unique, SA patented combination of natural, multi-nutritional supplements that work together to help:

  • Preserve and rebuild joint cartilage
  • Provide relief from pain, inflammation and joint stiffness

Who can benefit from ArthroChoice™?

  • All people participating in sporting activity involving joint movement

ArthroChoice contains the following nutrients:

Glucosamine Sulphate 1500mg per day

Produced naturally within the body to “grow” joint cartilage. Levels decline with age. Forms the key structural components of joint cartilage, reducing cartilage loss or even increasing cartilage mass.

U.S.A Enzyme Blend # 4477 150mg per day

These enzymes have been shown to reduce inflammation and pain associated with joint degeneration or injury.

M.S.M (Methysulphonylmethane)
800mg per day

An organic (natural) source of sulphur. Sulphur is essential for cartilage growth and metabolism. M.S.M has also been shown to reduce pain and stiffness (improve quality of cartilage). All available data indicates that M.S.M does not cause allergies.

Omega 3 10% PUFA 200mg per day

  • This essential fatty acid must be obtained from the diet, but is almost always deficient * tablet three times a day with meals
  • Dosage may be increased, depending on body mass and extent of joint damage, to up to 2 tablets three times a day with meals.

For convenience, ArthroChoice can be taken one with breakfast and two with the evening meal.

Joint Cartilage Degeneration / Prophylactic

  • One or two tablets a day with meals from ±40 years old

Note: in the S.A population (insufficient intake of fresh, deep sea, cold water fish). It has been shown to reduce joint damage, inflammation, pain and stiffness.

Chondroitin Sulphate 300 mg per day

This nutrient binds water, creating more spongy, lubricated cartilage. Appears to work synergistically with Glucosamine Sulphate.

Vitamins & Minerals

Vitamins C, E, B1, B2, B6. B12, Nicotinamide, Pantothenic acid, Zinc, Selenium, Boron, Silicon and Manganese

Older people are often deficient in one or more of these nutrients. Regional deficiencies are also common. These vitamins and minerals have been included in ArthroChoice for the following reasons.

  • They have been shown to be deficient in people who suffer from degeneration of joint cartilage.
  • They have been shown to be of benefit in people who suffer from degeneration of joint cartilage
  • A combination of the above.

Degeneration of Joint Cartilage

  • One tablet three times a day with meals
  • Dosage may be increased, depending on body mass and extent of joint damage, to up to 2 tablets three times a day with meals.
  • For convenience, ArthroChoice can be taken one with breakfast and two with the evening meal.

Degeneration of Joint Cartilage / Prophylactic

  • One or two tablets a day with meals from ±40 years old

Note: Genetic/hereditary predisposition (is joint cartilage degeneration prevalent in your family?) ArthroChoice should ideally be taken with meals for all chronic (long term) usage.

Sports Injury

  • One or two tablets three times a day before or between meals. (to maximise anti-inflammatory effect)
  • Dose depends on extent of injury and/or body mass
  • If bloating/heartburn occurs – take with meals

Sports – Prophylactic

  • One to two tablets a day with meals during periods of intense training

  • Very occasional heartburn, nausea or bloating with Glucosamine – take with meals (to reduce or eliminate this problem)

120 flat, beige coated, scored caplets, in a white screw cap container in a unit carton with a package insert.

It primarily affects weight bearing joints such as the knees, hips, spine and ankles, as well as the hands.

At every joint, the ends of the bones are covered with a very tough yet very smooth covering of cartilage which allows the joints to move freely and which also provides some shock-absorption properties.

The degeneration of joint cartilage occurs when this cartilage starts to disintegrate or break down, losing its strength and smoothness. This process occurs over many years and gets progressively worse with age.

The disease is deceptive in that the level of cartilage degeneration may not be directly proportional to the level of pain and discomfort. Fairly serious cartilage loss may occur with little or no symptoms (pain, stiffness) until suddenly serious symptoms begin.

Factors causing degeneration of joint cartilage include:

After the age of approximately 45 years , the bodies production of cartilage nutrients starts to decline, and this, together with the factors below, results in cartilage and other joint structures starting to weaken and wear out.

Injuries such as those caused by sport or a car accident, predispose the individual to a greater likelihood and severity of joint cartilage degeneration in later life.

Medical studies show that genes may be responsible for 50% of cases. The genetic influence is particularly prevalent in women.

Excess body mass places a great deal of strain on the weight bearing joints namely the hips, knees, ankles and spine.

Joints that are not properly aligned, e.g. knock-knees or bow legs can increase pressure on one side of a joint, increasing the risk of joint cartilage degeneration.

  • Morning stiffness in one or more joints
  • Joint pain, swelling and stiffness
  • Joint redness and warmth
  • Some joint deformity
  • Limited joint mobility and increased pain with movement
  • Fatigue and a feeling of weakness.
